Hello Altro Splashbacks! A Hygienic Alternative to Tiles

We’re pleased to announce that Altro Splashbacks are now available from Hycom, offering a more hygienic and stylish alternative to traditional tiled splashbacks.

Altro Splashbacks offer easy maintenance and plenty of design flexibility. They are ideal for kitchens, washrooms, food preparation areas and other spaces where walls need protection from water, splashes and everyday wear.

A hygienic alternative to tiles

Traditional tiled splashbacks can be difficult to keep clean because the grout lines provide the perfect homes for dirt, moisture and bacteria.

In contrast, Altro Splashbacks provide a smooth and easy-to-wipe-clean surface that won’t let water through, creating a more hygienic and low-maintenance finish.

And because there are no grout lines to scrub, keeping the surface looking good is simple.

Create a look that works with your space

Splashbacks don't have to be purely practical. With a choice of colours from the Altro Whiterock Satins, Chameleon and Wall Designs ranges, you can create a finish that works with the rest of your space.

Choose a complementary shade for a subtle, coordinated look, or introduce a contrasting colour to create a stronger design feature.

There are so many colour possibilities that it's easy to make your splashback work as part of the overall design rather than simply being an afterthought.

Low maintenance

One of the biggest advantages of an Altro Splashback is how easy it is to look after.

The smooth surface can be quickly wiped clean, without the ongoing maintenance associated with tiled and grouted surfaces. That makes it particularly useful in busy environments where cleaning needs to be quick, effective and straightforward.

Easy to install

Altro Splashbacks are designed to be simple. They can be cut to suit the area and installed without the time-consuming process of measuring, cutting and grouting individual tiles. It’s easy to get a clean, professional-looking finish with minimal fuss.

Made to measure

The kits are available in a range of sizes to suit most hand wash basins and vanity units, making it a quick off the shelf solution.

But every space is different, which is why Altro Splashbacks can also be custom made to suit your requirements.

So, whether you need a standard splashback or something created to fit a particular space, the flexibility is there to help you achieve a neat and tailored finish.

Don't forget the sealant

The finishing touches matter too. Colour-matched sealants are available to complement your chosen splashback colour, helping create a cohesive and professional finish.

Rather than having a contrasting line of sealant around your splashback, you can coordinate the colour for a much more seamless appearance.

Ready to ditch the tiles?

If you're looking for a splashback that combines hygiene, low maintenance, easy installation and design flexibility, Altro Splashbacks are a smart alternative to traditional tiles.

With a choice of colours from Altro Whiterock Satins, Chameleon and Wall Designs, custom-made options and colour-matched sealants, you can create a splashback that is as practical as it is good-looking.
